1. Introduction

Welcome to Bulk Tracking CSV & Excel ("the App"), developed by PredicMart ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal and store information when you install and use our App on your Shopify store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is handled securely.

2. Information We Collect

When you install and use the App, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

  • Merchant and Store Information: We collect your shop domain, shop email address, and active sessions (authentication tokens) to verify your account, provide access to the App, and send automated summary emails after a bulk processing job is completed.
  • Order and Fulfillment Data: To perform its core function (updating fulfillments in bulk), the App requires access to your Orders (including historical orders via the read_all_orders scope) and Fulfillments. We read the order numbers provided in your uploaded CSV/Excel files and match them with your Shopify data to create or update fulfillment tracking numbers.
  • Uploaded Files: The CSV or Excel files you upload are temporarily processed in our background queues to update your Shopify store.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data exclusively to provide and improve the App's functionality:

  • To process background tracking updates accurately.
  • To create or update fulfillments in your Shopify admin.
  • To send operational email notifications (success/error reports) to the store staff.
  • To provide customer support if you contact us.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We only retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services.

  • Temporary Processing: The data within your uploaded CSV/Excel files is processed in temporary queues and is not stored permanently in our databases after the job is completed.
  • App Uninstallation: If you uninstall the App, we will automatically delete your store's authentication tokens and related configuration data in compliance with Shopify's requirements.

5. GDPR and Mandatory Webhooks

We fully comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's data protection requirements. We have implemented Shopify's mandatory webhooks:

  • Customers/Data_Request: If a customer requests a copy of their data, we will provide any relevant data we hold (though the App primarily processes order numbers and tracking URLs, not sensitive customer PII).
  • Customers/Redact: If a customer requests the deletion of their data, we will permanently remove their information from our databases.
  • Shop/Redact: If you close your Shopify store or request store data deletion, we will permanently purge your store's data from our systems within 48 hours of receiving the webhook payload from Shopify.

6. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. All data transmitted between your Shopify store and our App is encrypted using HTTPS. Our database uses secure sessions (via Prisma) to ensure unauthorized access is prevented.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
